NO SUGAR MANGO MAKHANA CUSTARD – Fasting recipe

When someone says you are eating unhealthy or high calorie food during fasting, show them this recipe. It’s no sugar, full of healthy ingredients like Makhana, Dates & fresh seasonal fruits and nuts. This custard combines the goodness of Makhana, dates, and fresh seasonal fruits, ensuring you stay full and energized.

Makhana, or fox nuts, is not only a powerhouse of protein but also rich in fiber and antioxidants, promoting digestion, heart health, and weight management. And don’t underestimate the power of dates! They’re not just naturally sweet; they help with digestion, boost energy, enhance brain function, and support bone health.

Recipe –
1. Heat up 1 cup of milk.
2. Add 4-5 elaichi (cardamom) powder and a pinch of soaked saffron.
3. In another bowl, take 5-6 dates (you can adjust as per your taste) and 1 cup of dry roasted Makhana.
4. Pour the hot saffron milk into the bowl with dates and Makhana, then set aside for 30 minutes.
5. Once cooled, blend the mixture until smooth.
6. Refrigerate your creamy custard for 2 hours to thicken further.
7. Serve with fresh fruits and nuts of your choice. This mango season, I recommend fresh mango, pistachios, and cashews..

In this fasting season, this will make you feel full for longer period of time.
