Ingredients
For Pomfret Marination
– 1 Large Pomfret
– 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
– 1 tbsp malvani masala
– 1 tsp kokum juice
– Salt
For Pomfret Stuffing
– 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
– 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
– 1 cup Fresh Coconut (Chopped)
– 1 cup Fresh Coriander Leaves
– 1 inch tamarind
– 4-5 Green Chillies
– 5-6 Garlic Cloves
– 1 tbsp Sugar
– 1 tsp Cumin seeds
– Salt
– 2 tbsp Water
For Pomfret coating
– Oil For Frying
– 1/2 cup Semolina
– 1/2 cup Rice Flour
1.Take a large pomfret, clean it well by removing the fins, gills, washing and then drying it properly and create a pocket in the fish.
2. Marinate the pomfret with red chilli powder, malvani masala, salt, kokam juice and turmeric powder on the fish. Keep it aside for 30 mins.
3.In mixer grinder take scraped coconut, coriander leaves, green chillies, garlic cloves, tamarind, sugar, cumin seeds, salt and water and make a thick paste.
4. Fill the fish pockets (as shown in video) on both the sides of pomfret evenly.
5. Take semolina and rice flour in a plate and coat the stuffed fish.
6. Heat oil in a pan, and put the stuffed pomfret to fry. Fry it properly on both the sides.
Once it is fried well, the stuffed pomfret fry is ready to be served.
