  1. 4:20 well you see halal is actually not a way of slaughtering. When someone says halal, tehy mean lawful in islam. Halal means somehting that is permissable in islam, is in pork is haram so even if cut properly it is still haram and so is alcool, and many more things that you have to be careful of when cooking.

  2. was not planning on another LA trip any time soon but i am literally abt to fit one in this year just to hit every one of those spots ilysm. pls come to houston if you haven’t already

  3. idk I think going to Michelin guide and James beard awarded places feels like it's missing the point of street food. Street food spots should be your local hidden gems. Places you stop by when you're rushing during your lunch break or happen to be in the area, maybe you're leaving the bar or club late at night.

  4. Street food in America has become seriously overpriced for what you actually get. What used to be a quick, affordable, and convenient bite now often comes with a $10+ price tag—and for what? A small portion of food handed out from a truck or tent? The entire appeal of street food lies in its accessibility and value. It’s not supposed to feel like you're dining at a gourmet pop-up—it’s supposed to be simple, satisfying, and affordable.

Sure, I understand vendors have overhead costs, but when a basic taco, hot dog, or plate of rice and meat starts nearing the cost of a full sit-down restaurant meal, it just doesn't add up. That’s why I usually skip it altogether. Once street food creeps past the $2 to $10 range, it starts to lose the very essence of what it’s meant to be.

This video proves my point—they don’t even tell you the prices upfront. $17 for jerk chicken, Empanada $6.25. How does that make sense? The lack of transparency and wild prices are ridiculous. I could go on forever. It's straight-up overpriced.

  5. Bro we can’t just have only tacos as street food in LA, thank you for picking something else while that dude played hella safe with so much tacos. They’re all delicious but we need more street food and not just street tacos lmao, we saw more variety in other places and I’m born and raised in Cali so its my own bit of patriotic pride kicking in 😭

Nvm I thought they said Kogi was the last place lmao, but damn I am going through taco fatigue even tho I wanna eat em all
