Thank you for watching my visit of LeRoy and Lewis Barbecue. I was traveling to Eagle Lake Texas and I had to stop by Austin on the way so I figured I’d stop by and give LeRoy and Lewis a try. This was one of the best decisions I’ve made! I love that the food at LeRoy and Lewis is not the same old boring meats and sides, it’s so much better. I’m not surprised that LeRoy and Lewis were recently named the number 2 best bbq joint in Texas by Texas Monthly.

  1. BBQ in Austin has come a long way. I lived there from 1970 to 1994, and back in those days the pickin's was slim. I'd rate Green Mesquite (opened 1988) as the first really good BBQ joint in Austin. Before that, you mostly drove to Lockhart, Elgin, or Taylor. Great to see another fine place in Austin doing well. Thanks for the video!

  8. When I was there I had the Beef Cheeks and Flat iron, my wife had brisket and chicken (I think). it was awesome. I have been trying to replicate the beef cheeks. I didn't see the choripappas when I was there

  19. Joe! Got yourself sum L&L! Agree, the beef cheek is ridiculous there! Will say the day i went, brisket was so so. But the BACONRIB! Too bad u were there on a Sunday, cuz the baconrib is only Saturday! Best bite of bbq is that baconrib! Im gonna have to head back there for Season 2!! Cheers buddy! Still need to get up to Desert Oak with ya!👍🏼

  38. Great to see you in Austin! L&L is spectacular and I'm lucky to live close to them. Even the burgers are amazing. I do enjoy your vids and use your tips to smoke meats on my Pit Boss. Keep up the great work and I hope you had a great trip to Eagle Lake.
