This was one of my favourite videos to work on and I hope you love it! Please do drop a like on the video and leave a comment. Cheers!
Top notch mate, mash looked amazing! 👌❤️
Loved the video mate. Can you please do more like this, where you stick to a budget?
Cheers
Can't wait to try this one
Those mashed potatoes are ridiculous. I can't wait to make them!
Thank you for sharing. I’m a celiac what can I use instead of flour
Just made this for my wife and it was a huge hit. I generally hate cooking so I only go for easy recipes and this was beyond easy.
Put a can of Guinness in. Tastes amazing
Stews are the best recipes to learn how to cook. You can add more veggies, some other species and it doesn't matter if you cook it for 2h or 2.5 h as long as you keep the fire low. You can cook any amount of it because it's the best food to be frozen as well.
I like you jack but I’d be fuming if you gave me that mashed potato mate 😂 the stew looked friggin’ amazing though
What’s the estimated amount protein content in this recipe?
It’s a nice recipe Jack perfect for the cold season. Thanks Chef.😊
Yummy
Central markets?
Love this style of budget friendly orientated recipes. Stew is great for meal prepping in winter. I always make bulk and freeze heaps for work and busy weeks.
Wow, what a great market!😍
Yes, please, Chef Jack.👏🏽👏🏽 You know us so well.🥩🍲
Due to surgery issues, my mum can no longer eat beef but misses it terribly, this looks so scrumptious that I feel like I could maybe get away with a beef substitute for her and she'd still enjoy it immensely – would you recommend changing the cooking time if I used a fake beef product or even chicken?
I love beef stew and mashed potato. ❤
I’ve seen that mash potato before. It’s a bit too much butter for me, so I use 50-60 grams of butter for a serving for two. Beautiful!
Looks so good!! Can you link the pot you used for slow cooking the stew? You probably featured it before
Chuck steak is cheaper in logan Queensland
Do love stew. Great to see Jordie and Maia. Great recipe thanks Chef
Greetings from California, USA. This looks amazing. I do love a good beef stew, especially one that doesn't take six hours to finish. I would serve it with skin-on mashed potatoes made from Russet Potatoes!
I've made one of your previous beef stews which I loved, and this one looks awesome, as well. 😊
Likely a popular opinion, too, but we need more markets and less McDonald's so we can cook more recipes for cheap like this. And there's no way you're getting anything at McDonald's for $6.13.
hey jack, whenever i run your meal prep ingredients into chatgpt, it always ends up being around 100kcal more than you say it is per portion. why do you think this is? i dont know who's calories and macros to trust now!
Omgosh so hot here in Canada right now but I could really inhale that stew & mash. Looks brilliant❤
Your family look lovely
Oh yum 😍
Can I leave this in my slow cooker for 8 hours while I’m at work
WOW that looks AMAZING!! Central Market is the best for all your produce, thanks Jack another wonderful meal!
My goodness, that looks amazing
Right now it’s way too hot in Europe for stew but when it cools down I’ll try this one for sure!
Also that market has such a lovely produce selection
Is $6 per serving a good price? $30 for for 5 servings.
Yeah 1 takeout meal outside could be $15-$30 itself.
What is a good price for each serving of a home cooked meal?
If you put cheese in the mash, then put the stew into a baking dish, put the mash on top, sprinkle with cheese and bake until golden brown, you got yourself a Shepards pie
I'm watching the video as I type this but up to this point my favorite beef stew is peposo. Wine, beef, pepper (maybe a little salt).
Mmmmmmm proper hearty grub 😋👌❤️
will replace the mash for rice and I got a meal prep recipe for next week😊. Thanks Chef!!!
Very Like
Would be nice to see similar recipes with beef but different versions, maybe asian style
THAT what I needed! Thanks as always, Im going to cook this tomorrow. I already know this going to be extremlly good
What a great family friendly dish this is Jack. The mash is a bit over the top, however, the stove top stew is a real stand out. Cheers from a very wintery AKL, NZL.
I been watching your videos for a while now and thought you were English in England!
Nice. One of my favourite dishes as it resembles the gulyás (goulash). Hmmm… Childhood memories
We make it in the UK midlands minus the mash, and call it 'Lobby'.
I’ve been hearing stories about how expensive groceries are over there. Those are grocery prices here in Canada about 20 years ago 😭😭 lol
Oh boy this stew looks delicious. Another great recipe. I'm afraid to try to make the mash for I fear I would make it gummy.
