Omg I remember when making sundaes at home, grandparents always bought the fudgy kind in a glass jar you had to heat it up but it was so good back then, then once in a while we had magic shell, they had four flavors. Butterscotch, regular chocolate, mint chocolate and of course chocolate fudge magic shell. I can’t wait to make your version and your reaction is precious! 🥹🫶🏽
Excellent, I knew that there had to be a recipe to make this at home and like you said it's much better too! Now a person could really make some good stuff with this and home made ice cream too yeehaw!
I totally grant you that your version is way more flavorful, but I could swear when my kids were little, I made it with just the melted chocolate (probably chocolate chips back when I was really broke😁) and a bit of any old oil (not coconut oil, I hadn’t heard of it back then). That’s it. So unless my memory is completely off-base, I don’t think it has to be coconut oil. Though again, yours has more flavor.
Edit: it was driving me crazy, so I checked my Dropbox, and I’ve got a recipe in there for Magic Shell: 1# chocolate chips (melt) + 1/4 c vegetable oil. I think that’s a more recent recipe than the one I had, since I had no computer for saving recipes back in the day, but it’s the general idea.
You really only need the coconut oil and semisweet chocolate chips. All of the other ingredients are “extra.” Been doing this for years to recreate my childhood.

Hell no
I can’t find this tasty looking recipe ?!? Help ?
If you just melt a bar of chocolate and then pour it over ice cream, won't it simply reharden as well – tap, tap, tap – without the coconut oil?
Omg
Wow 👌 that was so cool 😎
I watch your shorts videos over & over because you make me smile! Your smile is contagious and you are sooo funny and adorable.
I think I love you
Genius
Our local soft serve place growing up (Dairy Dream) had butterscotch shell and it was so dang good.
The bad news is that you have ruined your cutting board. Quit using serrated knives!

Wish I'd known about this 25 years ago, thank of all the money I've saved $$$$
The world is a better place with you in it. Keep going
Also good for making ice cream bars.

Whattt that’s amazing 🤩
I just want to know does this taste like coconut because I don't like coconut but I love magic Shell.
Is it possible to substitute coconut oil??
Any alternatives for those of us allergic to coconut?
Rumble rumble rumble
Why espresso powder?
I remember going through bottles of that Magic Shell when we’d have a lot of people over.

I love this stuff
just made, it pretty good. I may use a little less oil next time for it to be a tad thicker
You are so adorable! So engaging. I’m looking forward to all of your videos! Thanks!
Coffee does not enhance the chocolate flavour, it only makes the chocolate taste like coffee!
This is a must have recipe, if it tastes better than the stuff in the grocery store. Love the idea of magic shell topping.

Great! I like how she presented this especially when she explained that the coconut oil is the key ingredient!
Don’t like coconut oil!
Shazam…they actually let us have a recipe!!!!!
