  1. I would also recommend you chemically stop the rust before seasoning. With vinegar. This will neutralize what you left behind. I have also found that thin layers of seasoning is also going to be more rust resistant.

  2. Well I don’t feel as bad about the few rust spots on mine now 😂 Not trying to hate because I know you said you use it twice a year but how the hell does it get that bad?! I just do a simple scrape off after use and heat it back up and get some Oil spread around before putting up for the night.

  3. Brother put a respirator on when putting rust dust in the air. And put on eye protection when using a wire wheel. Have you ever worn ppe??? Some people have just never been on a job where they can get hurt before I guess.

  4. You can ignore if you want, pretend it’s fine but look up how vegetable oil is made. With Hexane and Bleach for de-fuming and modifying the composition. It’s one of the most toxic foods on earth. It’s not food… Use coconut or olive or avocado or anything else. Don’t just wave it off as nonsense, you’d feed your kids vegetable oil?
