  1. Greggo,maaaaate,
I’d love to see you back in the kitchen, actually cooking, not just reheating muck from Coles.
Would you consider making a big pot of soup? Full of hearty goodness and will feed the old greggo for days. Most soups can be frozen, too.
If you could see the factory where that meal was prepared, you wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole.
Batch cooking is the way to go.

  2. I don't bother with oil or butter in the water, only after the pasta is at an edible temperature for eating do I toss it in an olive oil or butter. I also rinse my pasta in the strainer briefly. I know you're pulling our leg Greg but just saying, some people may not understand. I'm not Italian but I do know what works with making good pasta that does not stick and enhances flavor and what is just a waste of time and good ingredients. Nobody wants overly starchy pasta that wants to stick to itself into a big gum ball, yuck.
