Start with 4 large bone in pork chops.
Dredge in seasoned flour that consists of 1 cup
of flour, and 1 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. pepper, 1 tsp. garlic
powder, and 1 tsp. onion powder.
Fry in 4 to 6 tbsp. bacon grease until golden brown
then set aside.
Leave all the drippings in the pan and include a little flour
and whisk on medium heat to make a roux. Add 1 tbsp. minced garlic. and 1/2 a large onion diced (any type) Pour in 1/2 cup Red Wine.
Put in 1 package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix, and 1 package
of Pork Gravy. also put in 1 tbsp. corn starch and mix well.
At this point add 2 cups Chicken broth….
Then mix in 1 can of Cream of Chicken Soup.
Layer the bottom of your Slow Cooker with sliced potatoes
and then place your pork chops in the cooker and pour the
mixture from the frying pan over the pork chops.
Cook 1 hour on high and 4 hours on low.
You can add 1 tsp. basil and 1 tsp. of parsley about
1 hour before the end of the cooking time but it tastes
really great as is but it is your choice!

Just was missing Mr. Steve today and thinking about what to cook tomorrow. When his phone went off with the rain warning, I laughed out out! Been storming and flooding for four days in West Tetonight. Heck, we even had a small earthquake near Dyersburg. Waiting on the locust next. And of all things Twister comes on TV tonoght.
I'm going to take that as a sign to cook pork chops tomorrow!
Looks delicious!! I will definitely try it!!🙏🙏
Man you do Tennessee justice with that slow cooker. Looks so very delicious. I want some. 😂💚💚🔥🔥🔥🔥

😮😮 You really should warn a person before you sping a thumbnail like that on them!! Stopped me dead in my tracks. 🎉🎉🎉
I was looking for a recipe for cooking thick Iowa Chops this morning. I looked at several recipes and nothing sounded appealing. I ran across this video and it sounded really good. I didn't have pork gravy but I did have brown gravy. I wasn't sure what kind of red wine to use, so my daughter grabbed us a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon. I put baby potatoes in the bottom with sauce over top, added the chops & more sauce on top. My daughter does not like pork! She LOVED this recipe! I saved it and I will definitely be making it again! Thank you!
First time viewer! I've watched several videos and they didn't look very good. This looks amazing! I'm making it today!
Thank you so much. This looks delicious. Also it’s so nice to see the cast-iron skillet with the bacon grease in it. Awesome. Thank you so much.
Now this is a good recipe. It's a little more elevated than some of the others. I am doing this today! Thank you for sharing your recipe with all of us.
Never use a metal utensil in a cast iron skillet or dutch oven
Miss Steve so much l love watching him cook l learned so much from him
I sure agree pork cooks up so much more flavorful than beef…maybe the fat content or just the inherent flavor? But I mean, the taste & smell of bacon?
Nothing in beef, or chicken, is comparable to that!
Browning it first, utilizing all pan residues as you cook each phase, add liquid & then reduce, THEN adding meat back in is the key…& This recipe sure uses a whole bunch of different flavors to it!
Since I gave up the crock pot in the divorce, : ( and havent gotten another, I have adapted the slow cook method to stovetop and it works fine. My electric stovetop turns down to such a slow barely bubbling simmer that it seems pretty equal to a crockpot, especially when using a heavier pot. I mean, what did we do BEFORE someone came up with crockpot? Or air fryer? Or bread maker? Cooking over a controlled bunch of coals, not hot flame, and keeping it consistent was what we had to work with.
Slow cooker porkchlps❤❤❤

👌
My wife came up with something similar but with less steps snd ingredients.
We use 4 pork chops 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch.
1 can of cream of mushroom
1 can of cream of chicken
1 pack of Liton onion soap mix
Around 3/4 cup chicken broth
Pinch of salt and pepper
I mix the cream of mushroom and cream of chicken, onion soup mix and broth in the crockpot. Mix well.
I usually start heating up the crockpot as I mix . When it's ready I add the chops and cook about 6 to 8 hours.
My wife can't tolerate red wine. So could I leave that out or substitute something else?
Tried this slow cooker pork chops today. Amazing!!! Will definitely make this again! So good!!!

Great recipe. Please turn the sound up. ❤️
I plan to make this tomorrow. yum!
I would like to know your secret! How do you brown meat without filling the room with smoke and cooking odors? I have a stovetop exhaust fan and another kitchen fan that exhausts to the outside.
Cream of mushroom soup works well in this recipe too. Miss you, Red. Love Jen and Miss Sheila, though.
This was the BEST recipe. I'm making it for the 2nd time right now. Yummy!!
How do I get the recipe?
What size crockpot should one use?
I didn't have cream of chicken soup so I used cream of mushroom soup. This is really good food!
