Whole Chicken Soup Recipe (Tinibuok na Manok) Filipino Soup Recipe ( Whole Chicken Soup)

This Filipino whole chicken soup recipe is a delicious Filipino soup recipe and is known in Mindanao Island Philippines as TINIBUOK NA MANOK. In the Philippines, they use native chicken or Manok Bisaya to make a wonderful Tinibuok na manok (whole chicken soup).

The whole chicken soup is a great Winter warmer recipe.

In this whole chicken soup recipe, the chicken is cooked whole and stuffed with lemongrass, Ginger and Onion, all the ingredients for this wonderful soup can be found at the end of the video.
With these ingredients, it’s a great soup to enjoy when you need a boost from being unwell.

Its a great and easy one-pot recipe – I guess you could call me the One Pot Filipino chef.

Here are the ingredients for my Whole Chicken Soup recipe ( tinibuok Manok)

1.3-kilo Whole chicken, cleaned
1 thumb size ginger, peeled, cut and crushed, (use half for the chicken stuffing)
3 stalks of lemongrass, crushed, ( use 2 stalks for the chicken stuffing)
1 large onion sliced thinly (used half for chicken stuffing)
3 knorr chicken bouillon cubes
575 g chayote, sliced quarterly (potato or green papaya as an alternative)
100 g spinach ( malunggay as an alternative )
1.5-litre of water
1 tsp salt
