Chilli Chicken Recipe | Indo Chinese Chicken Chilli Starter | The Bombay Chef – Varun Inamdar

Ingredients

350 gm boneless chicken breast sliced
1 egg
2 tbsp corn starch
1 tbsp refined flour
1 tsp soy sauce
Salt and pepper as required
Oil for frying
For the gravy
2 tbsp oil
2 tbsp garlic chopped
1/2 tsp ginger chopped
1 large onion petals
1 no capsicum thickly sliced
3-4 green chillies, sliced
1 tbsp light soy sauce
Salt and pepper as required
1/2 cup Water
1 tsp corn starch

Method

– Marinate the chicken, by adding egg to boneless chicken breast, and also add soy sauce, pepper, salt, corn starch and refined flour to it.
– Mix everything well.
– Heat oil so as to fry the marinated chicken.
– Once the oil is heated, fry the chicken pieces.

For Gravy
– Heat oil in a pan.
– Add chopped garlic, chopped ginger, slit green chilli, capsicum and onion to the oil.
– Add soya sauce, black pepper and salt and mix well.
– Add a cup of water.
– Add the fried chicken to the gravy and give it a toss.
– In order to thicken the gravy, add corn starch to water and mix it well.
– Chilli Chicken is ready to be served!
