  1. Ummm, no. These are yeast biscuits. You put so much flour in those rolls…. couldn't even hardly knead them. Maybe it's something Southern? Maybe I should try them instead of criticizing but they barely rose at all. Probably not for me sweet woman. Love you. ❤

  2. Thank you for these videos, Paula. I love watching you cook and it gets me even more excited as I plan my Thanksgiving meal for my family. I will be making turkey, your southern Mac and cheese, green bean casserole with fresh green beans, homemade yeast rolls, mashed potatoes and gravy and pumpkin pie. Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. I'll tell you an even easier way to make yeast rolls. Use a Kitchen-Aid mixer. It kneads the dough for you. I put the flour, salt, yeast, sugar in the bowl and mix it up and then add water, milk and butter heated in the microwave for 1.5 minutes. Beat with the paddle attachment for about 5 minutes and add flour until it comes away from the bowl. Let it rest for 15 minutes, covered. Then cut into fourths and cut the fourths into thirds and roll into rolls. Put in a buttered Pyrex dish with tall sides. Butter the tops and let rise for an hour. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes. They are nice and brown on top. I've made them for the past two Thanksgivings and will again this year.
