I screwed up … was it I didn’t use room temp eggs or was my towel weave to thin ugh it was sticky and cracked and it was tough unrolling it from towel … I’m so disappointed, with my failure but it did taste delicious… was just so stressed from my goof ups . I’ll try again tomorrow because I need to bake one for Christmas lol any tips on what i did wrong?
Baked this the other day. Turned out very well, even though in the process you said you made mistakes in the past with it, so I was like “whoops, will it work for me the first time?” but it was all good. Very tasty! I must’ve held the frosting sitting longer though so I ended up with little extra! Going to go bake something to use it with 🙂
So I don’t exactly have a thin towel big enough for this so would a shirt work?

I finally made this. Cake cracked like hell even only after baking for 13 min at 175 C fan. But that was more likely a skill issue lmao. Also didn’t need to use all of the frosting like he said in the video. A good chunk of it rolled out even after cooling the cake to r.t. Great work as always tho!

I just made my first one and half of it turned out hard. Because my oven is unlevel and that's why. I cut off the hard crusty parts and still rolled up the soft part.😅

Really good, but……for me, a bit too much butter in the filling. Most recipes call for 2 tbsp where this is 6. You can taste the butter in the filling which I would’ve preferred not to. Otherwise awesome.
