Let me tell you, this is one of my all time favourite prawns recipes. This is one prawns dish I make, whenever guests come over.
The Roast has a rich texture and the flavours of Pepper & Shallots works wonders…
The spiciness of Chillies, the Sweetness of Shallots and the flavour of Ginger combine beautifully with prawns to create a delectable dish..!
I highly recommend this recipe, I’m sure you’ll love it.

INGREDIENTS

Prawns – 500gm
Coconut Oil – 4 tsp
Chilli Powder – 2 tsp
Kashmiri Chilli Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Pepper Powder – 1 tsp
Salt – to taste
Vinegar – 1 tsp
Ginger – 1 medium piece
Garlic – 10 Cloves
Green Chilli – 2
Shallots – 10
Tomato – 1
Curry Leaves – One handful
Hot Water – One Glass

HOW TO MAKE

* Clean & Wash the Prawns properly.

* Marinate the Prawns by adding Salt, Turmeric Powder, Chilli Powder & Vinegar.
Rest for 20 minutes.

* Shallow Fry both sides of Marinated Prawns in Coconut Oil (in low flame). Keep Aside.

* To the same Coconut Oil, Add Ginger, Garlic & Green Chillies. Saute well.

* Add Shallots & saute till it became translucent.

* Add Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, Coriander Powder & Garam Masala Powder.

* Saute well till the raw smell goes.

* Add a sliced Tomato & saute well till it cooked up.

* Add Fried Prawns.

* Pour enough Hot Water & Salt to taste. Mix well.

* Add a handful of Curry Leaves.

* Close with a lid & cook for 5 minutes in medium flame.

* Add Pepper Powder & saute well till it became dry.

Tasty & Easy Prawns Roast is ready to serve…
It goes well with Rice, Puttu, Pathiri, Chapathi & whatever you like… 🙂
