Chicken – 2 kg
Onions
Onions – 400 g, thinly sliced and golden fried
Oil
Cooking oil – 450–500 ml

Whole Spices (for Korma Masala – ground)
Black peppercorns – ½ tsp
Cinnamon stick – 2 inch
Black cardamom – 2
Green cardamom – 5–6
Cumin seeds – 1½ tsp
Nutmeg – a small piece
Cloves – 4–5
Mace – 1 blade

Dry Fruits Paste
Cashew nuts – 10–12
Almonds – 10–12
Poppy seeds – 2 tsp
Desiccated coconut – 1 tbsp
Water – ¼ cup (for grinding)

Spice Powders
Salt – 2 tsp (to taste)
Red chilli powder – 2 tsp
Kashmiri red chilli powder – 2 tsp
Coriander powder – 3 tbsp
Other Ingredients
Ginger-garlic paste – 3 tbsp
Yogurt – 400 g (about 1½ cups)
Water – 1 to 1½ cups (for gravy)
Kewra water – 1 tsp
