Granted the Walkersfield seasoning in that jar is a good choice and true to the traditional flavor profile, jerking is a smoking cook process just like American barbecue. It. No smoke from charcoal or wood (preferably pimento) = not a jerked meat. That said. I tried it your way and it's a good substitute if you can't bother with a grill, smoke pit or pan or its not available.
