But I NEVER pour out my pasta into anything. I remove it with tongs or spider directly into the sauce pan. If I need pasta water I have it all right there. And that way I don't have to clean a colander. But I understand what you meant.😂
I find that if I don't lightly spray the colander with cooking oil, the pasta will stick. A dab'll do ya, and keeps it easy to clean, too. Just remember to reserve a cup of pasta water before you drain it all. 😊

NICE KITCHEN TOOL MY BEAUTIFUL SISTER 💕💕💕❤️🍀
There's a nice All-Clad colander that's more in the classic style.
If you’re cooking properly then a sieve won’t overcook your pasta, pasta should be slightly underdone when you drain it, the hot steam finishes it
I've watched two generations of Italian's cook a lot of pasta, and I have cooked a lot of pasta and not once has anyone blamed the colander for overcooked pasta. Cute colander though.
Not so much fun cleaning it though because the starch clings to all the holes, and you have to basically clean it as soon as you're done, draining it.
Great information!!!
