Never, ever shove your hand into a glass. You will break it. Never!
I use paper towels very sparingly. I keep old rags under my sink for spills, and keep an old bin downstairs for rags. Wash a load every month or so. We are seriously so wasteful.
I will stick with Rosy! Bounty, the quicker picker upper! For those of you that have no idea what that means. Look up the 1978 Nancy Walker ( Rosy) Bounty commercials. She was the icon on TV, just like Mr Wipple! The Charmin man! Notice in the video that Rosy was a “half sheet” person back then, this is not a new idea.
Target's Bounty knock-off is a good choice.
Their results match my experience. I find Viva is a bit stronger for scrubbing and Bounty is a bit more absorbent. I usually use Bounty, but also keep a roll of Viva on hand for when I'll be scrubbing.
The amount of paper towels and tin foil I use gives me guilt lol
I think Brawny select is the winner.
I learned decades ago that Bounty was far above the others. It's all I buy.
About 30 years ago my little neighbor down the street tested paper towels as her science fair project. Bounty came out on top, and I've used it ever since. And now, Select-a-Size makes it even better.

I always reach for bounty mega rolls 6 pack. It gets through 2 weeks. We go use them for everything.

Brawny, Bounty and Viva are all very good.
I use the cheapest Walmart brand paper towels and have never felt like I needed more. In the rare case where I have a bigger mess that I need to clean up, I just use a couple extra sheets.
BJ's own brand 12 rolls, 140 sheets, select a size $19.99. Can't tell the difference between it and Bounty.
Have been happy with Target store brand for over 15 years. Not perfect but reasonable price.
I would buy Costco brand to try them out but I absolutely DESPISE select-a-size paper towels……….!!!!!!
Viva should be in a category of its own😂 No paper towel will beat it.
3.00-4.50 a roll for the best towels??? You throw them away…..order a set of WilliamsSonoma kitchen tiles….they last for years…wash beautifully…and you arent clogging the environment with all that paper.
Best thing about Viva towels is they don’t unroll when I’m driving down the road in my camper van.
I've tried all the brands the target up&Up ones were the best for me !
I would suggest pricing by per square foot, not per sheet. Remember the grocery shrink ray has not only shrunken food containers but paper stuff (toilet paper and these towels.).
I will stick to my 100% cotton towels ! Purchase once and wash them and last over a few years! Our environment deals with more than enough waste thrown in land fills.
If you must use paper towels then buy what’s ever on sale
Both those big brands are incredibly linty! They leave all kinds of debris on my counter.
Am I the only one who cannot stand the select-a-size??
I love the Sam’s Club Members Mark Paper Towels. Slightly better than a little cheaper than the Costco Kirkland brand. I still usually buy Bounty, but Members Mark is a close second. I don’t like Viva. I think it’s too soft. Works well for many things, but quite pricey and the softness is not good for some uses.
If you are “overwhelmed” by paper towels, you need to get out more. Personally, I’ll take the none bleached option…
I tried different paper towels, Viva is the best, you can rinse and reus if needed to
I tried Sparkle once in the past year and hated it. On countertops, it just pushed liquids around like the example on the cutting board. It wasn’t good wiping glasses either. I went back to my usual Bounty.
I only use about a roll every 2 months. Sponges and rags will save you a fortune. I only use paper towels for glass and the toilet.

Bounty is the best
Four things to never cheap out on: bed linen, bathroom towels, shoes, and paper towels – Viva for the WIN!!
I have a large stack of rags. I wash in hot water with cleaning vinegar. I also use old ragged towels and clothes cut down. I use what I call last hope rags if it will need to be thrown away. Rags are far cheaper than paper towels.
I've used most of them and the Kirkland is excellent!
Sometimes, as I lay in bed watching ATK review paper towels I ask myself “what would my great,great grandmother say?” And I imagine her saying something like “society has progressed to people laying in their beds watching other people review different types of paper towels? Well, if life is so boring to find this entertaining surely there are no more wars or hunger, right?”
No.
We’re still a mess.
But here’s a whole aisle in a store dedicated to paper towels. Have fun figuring out which one to buy.
What towels are the best value for cleaning up cat yak? I'm not sure which my towels get used for most, cooking /cleaning in the kitchen or picking up hairballs! 😂

Viva all day long
I don't use much paper towels. On big spills like that I use cloth towels.
its viva of course. viva is like 30% more expensive but twice as good as anything else. rare win for american consumer

Viva original cloth type for the win. They've been a family favorite for over 55 years.
