BEEF NILAGA RECIPE | NILAGANG BAKA | FOODNATICS



BEEF NILAGA is a Filipino beef soup, that is easy and quick to prepare. Beef is boiled till tender and cooked with vegetables like, pechay, potatoes, cabbage, ​and some other ingredients. It is considered as comfort food and perfect to serve during rainy days or cold weather. Serve it while it’s hot with newly cooked white rice and it compliments well with patis(fish sauce), calamansi and chili as a condiment.

Ingredients:
500g beef ribs
8 cups or 2 liter of water
1 & 1/2 tsp peppercorn
2 small-sized yellow onion
1 pc sweet corn
1 big-sized potato
2 pcs star anis (optional)
4 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp butter
2 stalks spring onion
2 bunch pechay

  1. I recently tried this Nilagang Baka recipe and it turned out really GOOD!! Soup full of flavor…everyone loved it so did our Furry Friend! Definitely not the typical nilaga i used to make. Thank you for sharing.

  2. This has been my favorite dish since I was little. We call it favorite soup in my house because I loved it so much!
    My Lola makes it a little different but this was looks good too. I’ll have to try this version out some time. Masarap!

  3. I can already taste it just by watching 😋😋😋 I will cook this for dinner later, i just had to watch your version of nilaga first para magaya ko.I'm just presuming you added butter for more flavor and bec there's sweet corn.
