When I clean my broccoli I add salt in the water that will definitely make any bugs in the broccoli come out in the water. I just find it gross to put the salt in the water that you use to boil it and then the bugs come out in your boiling water. I prefer to soak it in salt water first before cooking it.

Just tried this tonight… The flavors were so-so, it tasted "good" but not delicious like Sesame Chicken, Orange Chicken, etc… The flavors were just much more mild. The biggest issue was that cooking the steak in this fashion left it super chewy.
