Chicken Xacuti | ചിക്കൻ ഷക്കൂത്തീ

Ingredients:
Chicken 900 g
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp each
Lime juice of 1/2 lime

Oil 1 tbsp
Onion 1
Coconut 1 c
Dry chilli 12( Byadagi chilli/ kashmiri chilli)
Poppy seeds 1 tsp
Nutmeg 1 small piece
Coriander seeds 11/2 tbsp
Cinnamon 1 piece
Cardamom 2
Cloves 2
Cumin seeds 3/4 tsp
Mace 1 piece
Star Anise 1 blade

Oil 3 tbsp
Onion 1
Garlic 5 cloves
Tomato 1
coriander leaves
Salt to taste

Tamarind 1/2 lime sized

  5. Hi Mahima: I first made this for Christmas yes 900 gms. Chicken curry pieces. I marinated it for 1 1/2 hrs. from a Goan recipe painfully roasting one item at a time. Though the entire process took two n a half hours to ready it , It came out super tasty.
    This Sunday i shall make it your way. Let’s see.
