Slow Cooker Beef Tips and Rice

Ingredients
2 pounds beef stew meat
1 (10.75-ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
1 (1.61-ounce) packet brown gravy mix (see note)
1 beef bullion cube
1 cup water
1 small onion chopped

Instructions
Combine the ingredients in the bowl of a 4-quart slow cooker and mix to combine. Cook covered on low for 7 to 8 hours. Serve over hot white rice.

Notes
*If you can’t find the larger packet of brown gravy mix (one that makes 2 cups of gravy) then you can use two smaller packets.

*Find the gravy too thin? Simply mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of cold broth or water in a small bowl. Stir the mixture into the slow cooker. Cover and increase the heat to high for about 20 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.

  1. great video and a good recipe but yes there is a but…. the searing absolutly cannot be left out one huge point for doing so is to prevent the beef from basically coming apart during the long slow cooking process. sear your meat people its been done for generations for a reason.

  2. You are such a hoot! (that is a good thang) Love the video. Making it right now. Now I just have to decide, noodle or rice. THANKS! (by-the-way, I don't ever sear mine either) LoL OH OH you didn't say crockpot on HIGH or LOW?
