  1. Chicken looked good, should have cooked a little longer. Loved that method however.. Now the fried peach pies, we grew up having them pan fried in a cast skillet, using very little fat( maybe 1/4 inch of fat in the skillet, turning the pies often. (back then the fat of choice was lard,, then crisco came into the scene, however lard fried pies tasted better) Fried pies have a completely different flavor profile when pan fried. Most think they taste much better.. We made them with various fruit that we grew. Apples were my favorite, but the filling has to be made starting with dried apples'.. Plum, Pear, Peach, strawberry and last but not least blackberry fillings were used , depending upon season and availability. .Those hot fresh blackberry fried pies were awesome , especially slathered in fresh made butter… Talking from experience here in Alabama. Loved ya'lls video!

  2. Hello Bridget , Julia …. Everything looked fantastic. , just Yummy…
I do have one question tho …….
When my Mother made FRIED PIES. when I was young , just like the Yeast Raised Donuts She would make , She would make this very thin Glaze She would dip them in & it would be crystal clear , shiny as glass. almost looked like a veneer of shellac it was so thin , I guess to keep our sugar intake down as much as possible , ( lol ) But a thin Glaze is what this type pie begs for …… Just makes me wish I could reach out & have a couple…YUUMMM 🍑🍑😘😎

  3. You ended the pie part with "if you want to find out more about the history of fried pies, go to our website". I go to the website to be flagged with a 2 week free offer to it, but no info on the history of fried pies. That is a bit misleading if you ask me…. Just put the link to the article in the comments or somewhere so you can just look that up if yhat is all you are going for.
