  1. Just a note: quinoa is NOT low in carbs. People will often say that, but it is not accurate. It has as many carbs as white rice. The benefit is it has the highest nutrition of all the carbs. And it raises blood sugar more slowly than other carbs.

  2. For anyone wondering about Costco pesto-they’ve clarified in the past that they don’t generally include anything from Costco in their reviews, as it’s a membership grocery that doesn’t exist in all cities. They’re going for the brands they think anyone in the US may be able to get a hold of.

  3. This Portugese-style beef stew looks delicious, but just doesn't look like a stew to me… not much liquid, and what little there seems more like a jus (as Julia stated). I'd make it, but I think I'd treat it like a braised meat recipe, and serve with rice or noodles or quinoa!!!!!
