➜ The Cook’s Illustrated Thanksgiving Guide:
You can trust the editors of Cook’s Illustrated—experts of all things Thanksgiving—to deliver recipes that work.
America’s Test Kitchen is a real 2,500 square foot test kitchen located just outside of Boston that is home to more than three dozen full-time cooks and product testers. Our mission is simple: to develop the absolute best recipes for all of your favorite foods. To do this, we test each recipe 30, 40, sometimes as many as 70 times, until we arrive at the combination of ingredients, technique, temperature, cooking time, and equipment that yields the best, most-foolproof recipe.
Each week, the cast of America’s Test Kitchen brings the recipes, testings, and tastings from Cook’s Illustrated magazine to life on our public television series. With more than 2 million viewers per episode, we are the most-watched cooking show on public television.
More than 1.3 million home cooks rely on Cook’s Illustrated and Cook’s Country magazines to provide trusted recipes that work, honest ratings of equipment and supermarket ingredients, and kitchen tips.

With as much as we have going on for Christmas dinner i'm suprised that the turkey has not rested so long it's cold.
wrong, never rest a turkey without covering it, if you dont cover it the turkey will lose all that steam, and it will dry out.
Gordan Ramsey said to let the turkey rest as long as you cooked it.
Great tip. I don't think many people understand the need to rest before slicing. It makes a big difference.

I beg of you, please please please use the metric system too 🙁 "A really big bird, one that weight more than 18lb, that's 8kg, should rest for 40 minutes" I know you are America's Test Kitchen, but internet is worldwide and only few countries in the entire planet use this system
I eat it ASAP. Burning my tongue is fun!!
+NaturesFairy " Don't tent the bird with foil, because it will make the skin soggy", so the cook at 00:36.
Oh my I was always told to cover on foil. Would love to hear more about why u don't do this. I cover my roasted chickens and they are great. Please give more info as to why you don't tent with foil. I love you show! Thanks!
