Trying a Vintage Cake Recipe from 1950 ๐ฐ #shorts
Here is the recipe if youโd like to give it a try!
-2 cups sifted flour
-2 tsp baking powder
-1/4 tsp salt
-1/4 cup shortening
-1 cup sugar
1 egg, well beaten
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla extract
1. Sift together the baking powder and salt.
2. Cream the shortening and sugar and light.
3. Combine milk and vanilla, add alternatively with dry ingredients. Stir just until smooth after each addition.
4. Put batter into two greased 8 inch layer pans. Bake at 375F for 25 minutes.
