I'm gonna do this for my winemaking to dissolve the sugar into the juice quicker. 🙂
Thank you!
Ashley, the early years. Looks scared in front of the camera.
Great tip thank you

I was going to make a cake then when i realized i didn't have confectioners sugar i was like " aw man" Thank you So much!!!!!!
I've tried it, but it does not work. It's still grainy no matter how long you process it. I tried it for buttercream frosting and it was terrible. I have a cupboard in my kitchen that holds all of my baking needs. Most things are in clear canning jars to keep them fresh. Just keep confectioner's sugar on hand, along with well stocked baking needs.
IS THAT ABBY LEE IN THE BACKGROUND 1:15
Don’t put granulated sugar in a food processor to achieve a finer grain. Pulverized sugar created in a food processor or grinder results in chopped-up sugar crystals that will not perform well.
It seems every time I want some crucial kitchen advice ATK comes up short. All I wanted to know is how likely will this scratch up the inside of my jugs – like theirs is at 0.30?
Is it possible to make my own superfine sugar at home?
I only have a blender. how long would I blend the sugar to make it super fine but not powdered?
Would a blender work as a substitute for the food processor
I have the same Domino powder sugar as her but for some odd reason it taste lime perfume! Does anyone ever had that problem? So i came here to diy my own and see if there is a difference in taste or maybe it is juste..
I cannot get past the fact that the ad I had to watch before this video played was for a conspiracy theory publication. Does ATK choose the advertiser or YouTube? Either way, completely and utterly off putting and inappropriate. Even if it had been a legitimate but politically skewed ad, that would hardly be appropriate before a cooking video.
Will it blend? That is the question
There was this girl who was just standing by the oven and not moving
This video was so helpful I needed powder sugar fast then I saw this then bingo I had it
I'm really sorry, I know that it doesn't affect the recipe much in this instance but I can't get over the fact that you leveled the cup but then it wasn't full.
Thank you! You saved the day. It came out perfect.
Can i turn turbinado sugar into caster?
Thank you so much. Went short on icing sugar at last minute on Christmas Day! After making ATK’s delicious Holiday Cookies! You saved my day. Always my most trusted source. ✨✨✨✨✨
Does this actually work??
Is granulated sugar another word powdered sugar?
Does blender work?
No idea why this didn't work for me. I have a Ninja blender. I blended 1 cup granulated + 1 t. corn starch…checked the texture, blended some more, but it still felt gritty and did not improve in texture. My blender is so powerful that after minutes of having it on, I can smell the motor heating up. I used the sugar anyway in a basic buttercreme frosting recipe and the end result was pure grit. What a waste! I went out to the store and bought some confectioner's sugar.
Very helpful!! Thank you!!! <3
ccccoooollll
can you leave out the cornstarch ?
I will never buy confectioner sugar again!
They figured out how to make powdered sugar? Unless they've been living in a cave their whole lives I don't think it was a big secret. A bunch of cooks in uniform could have educated us on how to make powdered sugar, but to take credit for figuring it out?
Is this just powdered sugar?
increase the colour.
Thank you soo much.
prevents clumping.
I use a coffee grinder, works just fine
Perfect, now show how to turn fine sugar into granulated?
You mentioned that tests confirmed fine for glazes and buttercookies, what about cream cheese frosting specifically? Do you have any info on that? Thank you!
Chase
Good to know
lots of last minute trips ?
Haaaaa nooooobs
okay then.
Great tips, especially the proportions and the corn-starch trick!
That WILL find use in our family! (probably yet this year)
