Thankyou . That was really useful mate . 🏴🏴
What does this tell us? Nothing. We don't slam our faces into burgers to eat them.
It's not just the cut of beef, it's that store-bought is not trimmed or ground properly, and is full of rubbery pieces, etc. Do your own and grind it finely.
Very Scientific. LOLOLOLOL
What food processor/blender would you recommend for this task?
Used to use press . Now get organic ground chuck at butcher's. Lightly packed. I gently pull apart, add burger seasoning and gently make burger. Waaaaaaaaay better than pressing them
This video is showing its age. Nothing is inexpensive at the grocery.
For thick patty you want lose grind. For smash burger or thin patty, you want the tougher and packed patty. Otherwise, it just falls apart.
McDonald’s, burgerking, Taco Bell, Wendy’s, Carl’s Jr.,serves humans! Never eat anything from there!
Not a word about what cuts of meat to grind.
While i agree, that was a waste of burger, and it wasnt cooked properly clearly you can see there is raw meat in there lol
What a waste of meat
What can we learn from this? Don't shop where this guy shops. The store bought ground beef I buy is Ground sirloin and looks identical to his home ground beef. You can also tell that he took the extra effort to pack the store bought more based on the clean smooth edges of the patty and he did a loss pack for the home ground patty. In short, this video is misleading, not entirely false, but his examples were fabricated. A**
And the smash burger was born
Best tasting burgers are from cows fed biosolids (city sewage). Can you say Oooh-Nah-Mee.
Most of the beef they sell at my local grocer is very pink looking, never used to be that way. Found out they are adding pink slime as filler. Disgusting. The customer used to always be right in america, now it's how much you can defraud and rip off the custromer.
What kinda Smash test is that?! That can’t be scientific.
Can I grind it in my food processor??
I purchase Meyer's Prime Angus ground beef. Honestly, it tastes great and yields a juicy burger.
what is that "sticky protein"? sarcoplasmic proteins?
Thanks Dan, always a teaching moment. 2012 – you look like you are in high school
Gross, cooking a burger in a nonstick pan is a sin in my book.
Is tenderloin a good beef to grind for burgers…
What cuts did you grind?
And thus, SMASH BURGER was born
… and this is how the smash burger was created
I'm not cleaning that mess lol.
I grind my weed
Fudge now I need a meat grinder
Why I keep my mom's 60's era meat grinder!
Science: for the best burgers-see why you shouldn’t buy beef at the store-and why you should invest in some cows
My favorite is when we would grind our meat using the kitchen aid attachment and bbq them on a charcoal grill…. Ahhh perfection!
Who the hell oven bakes burgers
Neither burger was fully cooked in my opinion…….Take care, Bluefin.
Which cuts of beef did you use and how did you grind it?
Well, im sure I could always have great burgers if I always ground prime rib.
Isn't the point of ground beef to be the cheap trimmings? How about a video focusing on making cheap meat into great burgers.
Like many people, I love a great steak, but I can't always afford it and I love beef.
I agree. I always used to get tough and rubbery burgers whenever I used store brought meat. I will at some point get a mincer and start making my own burgers from fresh chuck since I'm not really a fan of store brought burgers.
Anybody else like me who would prefer the texture of the store bought beef Pattie? I am not implying it would taste better , but I hate crumbly beef and prefer a solid bite.
Our burgers can be beat cuz we grind our own meat grind grind grind grind grind
And knowing is half the battle 😎🇺🇸
IF THAT IS A DUTCH OVEN/PAN DAN BEN IK EEN BELG
1:57 now presenting: litteral smash burgers
