In this video, I show planting, harvesting and cooking cabbage. I also show cooking a Pork Jambalaya for my extended family. The food was delicious and we enjoyed sharing it with our family. Thanks to all who continue to follow my channel. I am so grateful to have reached 100,000 subscribers!

  1. When cold weather is coming pull cabbage up so the root comes with the plant, trim a few leaves, dig a hole deep enough to cover the cabbage plus some. Line the hole with straw, insert cabbage upside down and cover with dirt so root is sticking out. All during the winter when you need a cabbage pull one out, cut off a few bad leaves and cook as usual. The cabbage will be white, sweet, and the most delicious vegetable you can eat.

  2. Do people drive by your house constantly checking to see if you're cooking? You sneaked those black-eyes in there without warning! Don't know why you didn't have some cornbread and La. pepper sauce. I gained five pounds just looking at that feast!

  3. Did you get enough rain so as not to have to water the cabbage? Did you have to fight insects? Did I see a patch of mustard greens? That's my favorite – keep the turnips for yourself, but I will eat the cabbage and jambalaya, you betcha !
