I peel garlic for a week. I soak them up in the water for an hour. Peel comes right off
Just hit the spot of theknive directly over the garlic. I once missed the clove and snapped a knife in half
I do Exactly what you do to peel the garlic.
Works Every Single Time!!!🎉🎉🎉
Can I shake it like a Polaroid picture?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
A garlic press catches the outer layer of garlic skin, and has to be removed with a fork or knife before pressing the next clove, which is too much of a pain, a Slap Chop knockoff changed my life in mincing garlic, true story
Why i peel my hair and not my garlic
If you put a bunch of cloves into warm water for a couple minutes (maybe while you do some other prep), they will slide off easily and in one piece! Cutting off the root of the garlic cloves beforehand makes this even better.
I do a version of the mason jar trick. I put the cloves in a bowl and cover that bowl with one the same size, but upsidedown. Shake, shake, shake and the cloves are peeled!
You can also cut off both ends of the clove and cut it in half. If your application does not require whole cloves, it really makes peeling the peel off so easy.
You can also cut both ends off and make a small slit in the peel along the middle of the clove, also makes it easy to peel it off if you need a whole clove.
Just make sure you have a sharp knife so you don't hurt yourself trying to make the shallow cut.
Is whack it a technical cooking term?
Silicone peeler is the way to go load a few cloves and roll job done
Do what Jacques Pépin recommends and trim off the root end of the clove before you whack it. The paper is attached at the root, so it comes off much easier.
There is different types of garlic. Some will peel easier than others. Standard variety supermarket garlic is generally one that this doesn't work that well with.
I like to mince garlic on my eyes taste good😊
I highly recommend the kuhn Ripon garlic press you feature. Worth the investment. Thank you for the tips, especially the one about using a Mason jar.
