Can this sauce be canned in jars? I come from a family that cans a lot of veg and fruit. It seems like this would be convenient to have sitting on the shelf.
love your recipe, sesame noodle, a comfort food for me, and great side dish for an American meal!
This is great hot too, and my favorite place serves it with a dollop of scallion oil on top.
Yum yum yum yum yum
I live in Kent, WA. I wonder which restaurant they were talking about so that I can pay them a visit.
Dad loves that chili oil and cilantro just like me lol Fasho my type dude to just kick back eat and knock back some sake
Do some restaurants make this with peanut in the sauce, or what? Some places I've had them over the years in NY it seems like they tasted as much peanut-y
as sesame. Maybe they puree peanuts and add it to the sauce?
How many ounces of noodles did you use for that amount of sauce? A pound? Half pound? 🤔
If only I knew where to get the ingredients (Amazon?) and suggestions for specific brands.
OMG I miss the Asian food from Washington State. We lived right next to Kent (Maple Valley). Thank you for this recipe!
My dad died from Parkinson's last year. Watching these two is wonderful.
Your dad is awesome. You are blessed to have had him cook your meals as a child. What beautiful memories. My mom used to cook the best meals on a budget as well. You are blessed to have him by your side. ❤
oh how ive missed you two!!!!
You give precise amounts – even the water to boil – but not for the amount of noodles when you get to that part – consistency is emphasized after blending but not shown! And there are many things lacking in your explanations.
Great recipe! I made this with help from my 4-year-old, and she loves it! She keeps requesting it. We swapped the chili oil for sesame oil since she doesn't like spicy foods, but that was the only change.
Wish 🙏 you had more recipe & more video ❤
😋
Have you tried the NYC version of this dish? I’ve been searching for an authentic version of the earlier recipe the chefs introduced to the American palate back when the first Chinese restaurants were opening in the city. Very few left in operation these days and it’s a more peanut buttery take on the recipe than traditional.
This look so good, must try it. Thank you.
had no idea they were this easy to make! thanks for the upload these two are amazing
Thumbnail is so gross with food hanging out of the dudes mouth.
So happy to have found this! Cold sesame noodles are one of my favorite dishes served up with julienned crunchy string beans on top. Looking forward to trying this at home (with extra chili oil ;))
New subscriber here…my two new favorite dudes 😊
Thanks for the recipe! I'll be making it for meal prep next week ❤ since I can't find some of the ingredients where I live, I'll have to adapt with some other ingredients…but I'm sure it'll taste great too!
Hello. By "fresh thin white wheat noodles" do you mean white whole wheat flour, or regular white flour (i.e., AP or bread)?
