Maybe it would work if you had dexterity issues or sight that did not allow you to use a real knife.
… you know what she shouldn't avoid? A brush. Or hell, a comb.
Wow! Thanks for testing that tool and debunking the marketing claims that you hear about these supposedly kitchen wonders. You're saving people some good coin.
It's always a relief to hear clear reasoning. Thanks!
Thank you for the info as I love using kitchen gadgets.
Epicurious has an entire video series with a product designer testing out kitchen gadgets like this that are just horrific examples of bad design. There's a lot of companies out there who think they can just put out a slick-looking kitchen gadget without bothering to test it to verify that it does what it's purportedly designed to do. And unfortunately it works way too often, reviews are easily manipulated, people buy this garbage, and by the time lots of angry customers get the word out, the company's already made a tidy sum.
Thanks for the information!!
My knife and I can do it just fine!!😊
We use them for salads that we buy premade, but if I’m making a salad from scratch I agree with you!
I have yet to find a good food chopper.
😢
Is it good for a pedicure?
You gotta be really super lazy to use that gadget. 😂
Wow, ATK. What incredibly insightful and useful consumer advice. Boy, if it weren’t for you and these chef-oriented videos, I totally was about to buy that cheap piece of plastic. You know us cooks and foodies; we are just completely helpless against these marketing ploys and can’t think for ourselves.
Garde-Mangers of the culinary world thank you!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Slap chop.
There is one rule above all others in the kitchen — no unitask tools, period.
You are so right. It is a lousy kitchen tool.
They are trying to imitate Edward Scissorhands.
I have one of those and I love it! I get mixed greens at Costco and the leaves are too big for my salad. It works great to chop them up into smaller pieces without having to get out the cutting board.
Geez…so biased. Not even using them correctly.
Could a left handed person use it?
