I thought this was Danny Devito!😂
Good info sir, thank you
Wow! Thanks! Fruit is my biggest worry.
Wonderful! Thank you.
Thanks so much 🙏
yea, thank you so very much
I've been soaking 30 minutes!! Thank you! ❤ You saved me almost a 1/2 hour!
I worry the alkaline solution gave the test a false negative just by being alkaline
Does that include all potatoes and root vegetables?
Parasites? Does it also get rid of parasites?
Thank you, that's really useful.
And then we have to be careful of the baking soda we use!!!!!!!!!!! Use Bobs Red Mill…had no chemicals.
Thank you! Your post is really helpful.
2 teaspoons per what ?
👍🏻
Ty Danny DeVito
Same for lemons and the wax?
THANK YOU❣️ for clearing that up 😅
So I use both vinegar and baking soda together and how long
How much baking soda shpukd we use?
Will it give the fruit or veggies a weird taste?
Also should I wash all of the produce in a baking soda solution when I buy and then just store in fridge. Or wash before you eat them individually?
We have to get back to nature.
The problem with this is the majority of pesticides used now on crops are systemic and grow inside of the plant itself
They don’t wash away – they are in the soil the planet is grown in. Think, its gets drenched with every crop and the seeds also have it them if they are GMO. So its also in the cell of the veggies or fruit you eat. Washing helps but not by much
Save yourself from cancer and Buy Organic
Organic.
Excellent information! 👍
"Food knowledge through science"! Gee, if only the farmers would quit putting unneeded poisons on out foods to begin with. Natural predators for truly troublesome pests, for instance…😢
I soak in baking soda for 5 min then add a few cups of vinegar, soak for 5-10 min. Rinse well, let dry completely and I store all of my fruits and veggies in mason jars and they last for weeks. 😊 luv your info
I use this
30 second! That's hardly anything.. here I've been soaking them for at least 15 min at a time!
Excellent! Baking soda has been my go to for washing veg. I make sure to wear gloves when rinsing the foods off since the baking soda solution seems to dry my hands.
thank you :)😊
Do you still need to rinse with water after soaking for 30 seconds??
The Baking Soda(BS) you showed contains aluminium. Don't believe me, bake soda bread with this and the bread will turn blue/green.
Thank you!
Great information, thanks.
We should stop eating altogether!
Wondering if we wash the baking soda soak residue off before eating the produce?
Wow 😊
We need an entire series on how to survive industrial food.
Crap! I’ve been doing it backwards! My thought process was to add salt to drive the little nasties bedding down inside the produce out. What to do???
Thank you!
So helpful! Thanks.
Brilliant! My new produce pesticide removal routine.. What a great tip..
What about the pesticides that are inside the fruit or vegetable? I doubt this hack would remove them.
Thank you!😊
Thank you very much, I was using vinegar.
S-S-S-Science!
How about we get some regulations against plastering our food with toxic pesticides?
The real real question, how do you know if you have produce that NEEDS this treatment?
