When I took the cast iron skillet out of the dishwasher a lot of the seasoning was gone, so I had to reseason it.
I dont put any knives down because it is bottom heavy, flipping it like that make it top heavy and alot easier to get launched from the holder. Also hows the knife itself going to get properly cleaned like the forks and spoons
Just dont be dumb about how you grab them, which isnt even an issue with butterknives.
I have a ten inch chef knife with the white plastic handle that you get at the restaurant supply for like 30 bucks I've had it for twenty years and I always put it in the DW it's never suffered for it.
Why can't you put your chef knife in the dish washer
Round butter knives facing down but pointy fork tines facing up? I don't think so.
Just common sense
I would never put silverware in facing up because then you have to grab your silverware by the freshly washed parts that you eat with to take them out of the dishwasher. Makes no sense.
If you put in anything with wooden parts: go straight to jail.
Was this a real video? Have you guys dumbed down your shows this much for who? The new Covid audience?
Which devil is loading cups and bowls up?!
Had me until forks and spoons handle side down.. get those fork tines and spoons down closer to the business where the water sprays up from! Plus emptying the utensils is easier with them all facing the same way. Best if you mix the type of utensil in each section of the basket so none of them, well, spoon together and all get clean.
Seriously if the dishes are in the dishwasher and they get washed and they are clean who gives a damn how they got in there or what they look. This is the intelligence of America.
Is that a countertop dishwasher? I’ve been looking for a good quality, countertop dishwasher, which brand is that?
Your comments don't make a lot of sense.
If you put the forks and spoons with the handle side down So they can get cleaner why would you not do that with your butter knife?
The furthermore it's been proven many many times that the best way to clean your silverware is to put them at a mix of up and down but won't matter which ones are up and which are down
people need to be told to put cups and bowls face down? smh
You guys need to up your volume.
I am the dish washer.
Good stuff, but isn’t this common knowledge? Or does this fall into the “not all knowledge is common” category?
I sent this to my husabnd because he is always behind me rearranging my dishes
Good advice only if you have a dishwasher “machine”! 🙄🙃
Totally obvious advice for anyone with half a brain…however for the millennials you should warn them that hot water is hot and can burn them 😂😂
Agree with all your points
Points up is a total no. Then you are grabbing the part that goes in your mouth with grubby hands when unloading. Also getting stabbed with the tines is a real issue.
Butter knives up, steak & paring knives down. NEVER any special knives. Hand Wash ONLY!!!
….was this necessary?
I’m a dishwasher loading savant. All those years of playing Tetris have finally paid off! I suck at math, but I can load a killer dishwasher! 🤣
Omg…yes my husband does that
My dishes tend to get chip despite I make sure it does not hit against each other. Does anyone know why I keep getting chip plates and saucer?
I sent to my roommate, and now they wont talk to me 🤣🤣
We bought an LG dishwasher a few years ago, and the instruction manual included a great stacking guide. Very similar ideas, including tilting cups and mugs slightly to help water drain off. The racks can also be tilted. The guide also said not to rinse or pre-wash dishes because the food particles help activate cleaning. I liked that part. 😊
also… if you put your cups in right side up, they’ll fill up with water. I feel like that’s the more pertinent part
Thank you!
First step – Hand wash them.
