After a visit to Milwaukee, we knew we wanted to recreate one of the best things we tasted at a little suburban restaurant named Solly’s Grille: butter burgers.

Made these tonight – AMAZING – I never want a burger any other way……
“Mhmm😊”
Is it unsalted butter on buns??
I made the mistake ONCE of getting 93% lean frozen burgers patties. I tried cooking the first patty. It was so lean that it more burned than cook. The remaining burgers reguired a pat of butter to cook. They were excellent!
By the way AMEN!!!
I think seasoning of a grill is not the same kind of seasoning as salt and pepper
Can't wait to try it!
I love my state…but we love butter, cheese and beer
..ahhh,..it's how one makes burgers with "90% lean" burger,..not 80/20…ahh hahhhh.
So what the difference between a Butter Burger and a Heart-Attack Burger?
Looks delicious, but terribly unhealthy. Once in awhile…
That small laugh/snort let out at 6:01, when she's taken a bite: That's what this video is all about.
Great recipe! but I would always use 80/20 beef.
Doesn't know what seasoning is…wtf
AH Just Slap Your Meat on the BBQ pour on some BBQ Sauce get a nice big Onion cut into 1/2 " circles (DO NOT chop into little Girley bites)
put EM on the heat🔥 Slap couple slices Chedder Cheeze on your Meat Get Your Woman to put her BUNS on the 🫕BBQ so there nice and TOASTY 😋
Now Assemble your master piece 🤗And It's Time to drink some beers 🍺🍻AND WATCH N F L Football 🏉
Omg! I can’t believe Cooks Illustrated would hire someone who thinks a “seasoned“ grill comes from salt and pepper!
Wanna make this better? Don't use Wisconsin ingredients. They are inferior
I'm just going to say these Solly's are a knock off. If you want the real thing go to Kroll's in Green Bay.
Uhhh cooked onions are nasty & slimy, I would only want a complete thin slice of raw onion on my burger & I would also never eat any meat that has a crispy layer of crust from frying or burnt edges! I might try the butter but put the butter on the meat so it could soak in, the way you did it you put the butter on top of the cheese, no way it could soak into the meat but only give you a mushy wet bun top & the bottom bun sitting in butter!
Heart attack burgers! lol
This woman thinks that seasoning in terms of the coating on the flat top grill is the same as seasoning food with salt and pepper?!
Come on America’s Test Kitchen, please don’t insult us with presenters who don’t have a clue what they’re talking about…
That looks fantastic! I will try this~
How do you keep the grease from splattering?
Oh! Greasy burgers.
"Don't blame the butter for what the bread did!"
HAVE some butter ladies! (You ARE ladies right?)
It's a GRILL!
Looks like a heart attack in the works!
I've always made them like this which I learned from my father!! He's a Kentucky man that's been making them for 70 years!!! I lived in Wisconsin and had dairy farm. The neighbor had a grdaughter that I watched a couple hours in the morning . The first time her grandmother went to fix her toast she wanted it for fixed like mine and when she called and ask how I fix my toast I laughed my butt off. I just spread butter on top then broil it!! So its not toasted on both side and already had the butter on it!! When Culvers first opened I really couldn't believe that that was so special!! Lol
I thought that was originated by Culver's, who is still around. Is there no patent/copyright on it?
I never wanted a burger more. You can get butter burgers at Culver's.
I don't believe you guys actually found a recipe that didn't use any damn garlic. Normally you use it in everything. Today we will make chocolate fudge first mince 7 gloves of garlic add it to 6 bars of melted chocolate cook for 3 minutes stirring constantly, now add a quarter pound of chopped walnuts and 8 cloves of chopped garlic, etc. Serve on a bed of sliced garlic. You guys are ridiculous with the damn garlic. Believe it or not a lot of older folks can't tolerate garlic. Anyway congrats of finally making a garlic free dish.
Stick to cheese, fudge, and those pastries.
Looks AMAZING!!!!
