Easy Apple Turnover Recipe | Simple Glaze for Apple Turnovers



Homemade Apple Turnovers with a filling that tastes like Apple Pie recipe in flaky puff pastry dough. This is one of the easiest apple desserts and can even be made ahead.

►1 lb puff pastry (2 sheets)
►1 Tbsp all-purpose flour for dusting
►1 1/4 lb Granny Smith apples (3 medium)
►1 Tbsp unsalted butter
►1/4 cup brown sugar lightly packed
►1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
►1/8 tsp salt
►1 egg+ 1 Tbsp water for egg wash

I love that you addressed the naysayers about not eating your own food……I hear this all the time…..what they don't see is that we often are sneaking bits of the ingredients as we go along so by the time its done we've basically already eaten 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 and i'm like 'nah ya'll, you just late to the game"…..
    My problem is that the Pepperidge Farm puff pastry I have just discovered lists "this product is made with bio-engineered ingredients"……I can't eat that unfortunately. I have a problem with wheat…..and recently discovered that most of the commercial wheat products that are not certified specifically as GMO free, are made with wheat that was engineered to have bacillus thuringenesis, which, known as early as the 1920s, is a known endotoxin.
    So if anyone knows of a really good gluten free/non-GMO puff pastry, please let me know so I can find it and order it…..

  4. I am 67… I haven't made these ever, but my mom did way back when I was 14. Now I have my own two, 2, apple trees in my not orchard size middle of the danged city of Bellevue Ohio back yard. Today, first apples. First thing I thought of was mom. Second, apple turnovers. Googled it, and there you were, and since I subscribed, there you'll stay! Awesome presentation. Just like Nashville singers in concert, stage presence. And you've got it.
