  1. It’s now summer 2023 and you’re video is still going strong! I brought this food thermometer a few years ago during the pandemic and never used it. For some reason, it felt a little intimidating. After watching your informative video I’m ready to rock and roll!!! 😊 Thank you for sharing! And your pulled pork looks delicious!

  2. We are smoking our first Boston butt and my hubby bought this thermometer it says char griller on it but it is the exact same thermometer. Anyway I don't rly like it, it won't let me set the meat to pork and turn the temp I want the meat to get to to 200 without turning the desired internal temp changing to 170. Idk it's weird I think a regular old thermometer u just check the meat with every now and then may be more user friendly cause this thing has a learning curve that we haven't quiet been able to hang yet.

  3. Hear it is 2021…a few years after your review. I just found one of these thermometers at thrift store…no manual. Your review was excellent to show us how to use. Thanks so much! If you would be able to send us the customer service email address on your manual so we could order a manual, we would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

  4. ok you sat yours right on top of your smoker… well that is not a good idea! Mine melted! So I have had it one day and now it is no good!!! It says no where on instructions where to set base! So you can not leave on top of your grill or smoker!!! So maybe you want to change that first part of the instructions!

  5. OMG Van. i think you just made all of Youtube Hungry. i got this wireless thermometer @ my local walmart today very handy tool in your bbq Pouch. and i wish i had a taste of that pulled pork the bark looked Delicious.

  6. What would you EVER take to an internal temp of 200 Degrees? And as far as Grill Expert Thermometers, save a couple more bucks and buy a better one. These are really cheap. I bought two of them. They were ok on my first smoke, Then the second smoke one of the probes failed. Contacted the company and they do NOT stand behind their items. Yea, one might say they are very inexpensive at around $15 bucks, but if you cook a lot of foods in a year on a grill, smoker or whatever, who has $15 bucks just to throw away every time they get ready to cook? In the course of a year that really adds up.

  7. 15 bucks? Dang you can't beat that Van. It looks pretty easy to use. Does it only have the option for 1 probe? Great review man. I am like you I like to read or watch a review before I go buy something. Man that looked so good. Wish I had some of that now.
