Finally trying Thor’s hammer, or a beef shank 😂

This was actually super fun to make and turned out so good!

I used a little hot sauce for the binder and seasoned with a mix of my AP and Steak seasonings. The shank went on the @biggreenegg set for indirect cooking at 275 degrees for about 3 hours. After that it went into a braise with onions, garlic, Worcestershire, hot sauce, chicken stock and a whole can of @millerlite . Wrap it tightly with foil and back on the grill until fork tender. Took about 3 hours.

Remove, let it rest for a good hour, shred, and enjoy! It was super beefy, tender, juicy and delicious. The shank cost $30 so I think it was worth it. You get a LOT of meat for that money.

Hardest part about this cook was finding one locally. I picked this guy up from Prime Beef in Mundelein. If you’re local, they have these in stock.
