  1. Greens of all kinds can also be “saved” by reviving them in cold water. Immerse fully in a large bowl and let soak until they return to their original condition. Sometimes a couple hours is necessary. For lettuces, it goes much quicker if you chop first. I’ve kept full romaine leaves in a bucket of water for up to 5 days refrigerated with no issue. Most greens get better texture than when purchased. Spin out or dry on towels before eating if you don’t have a spinner.
