I tried to do this once and my family loved it! Simple and easy on your part! Am doing this today a second time as family asked for it! Thanks for the recipe and teaching! Is it alright to add dried chestnuts? I like the flavour of them in my trotters!!!
Hi, I love your videos / recipes. Have tried a few of them and they are all spot on!
I am wondering instead of using pork trotter, can I use a big piece of beef? I am planning my Asian Christmas meal and some guests do not eat pork. What do you suggest? Many thanks in advance
Hi Roland, can i use sliced pork trotter? Also, i only have cinnamon powder, how much to use for it?
was just curious… is there a difference if we just add the sugar directly to lots of water and boil it as opposed to caramelizing it with a tiny amount of water first?
Can we use a slow cooker Roland?
I try this they love it thnk u
That's not a trotter, that is a hock.
I'm gonna try this tonight for our dinner😍
Thankyou for sharing 👍
discuss a little the background of the dish to teach the viewers about how that dish exists in china today. Do this at the start of the video where you say what food you are going to make.
High sugar content.
Hi Roland, many thanks for this recipe. However, the Chinese white wine of 500 ml/2 cups a bit too strong. I tried out this recipe in preparation for CNY, and I will reduce the white wine in my next try. Cheers and keep up the wonderful recipes
