California roll, how to roll a California sushi roll

This video teaches you how to make a “California sushi roll” one of the most recognized sushi rolls in the world, the California roll was invented in the 1960s in a Californian sushi restaurant “Kaikan” the main chef at the time Ichiro Mashita was experimenting with local produce in California when he came up with the California sushi roll.

Here is my recipe for the California roll, I put my own twist on it but kept the basic ingredients.
– Crab sticks (3)
– Mascarpone (1 teaspoon)
– Mayo (1 teaspoon)
– Aromat seasoning knorr
– Avocado slices (3 or 4 slices)
– Cucumber slices (1 or 2)
– Roasted Sesame seeds (a light coverage)
– Nori /seaweed paper (1/2 a sheet)
– 150g cooked sushi rice (learn how to cook here: )
What equipment do you need to roll a California sushi roll :
– Sushi rolling mat
– Plastic bag
– Cutting board
