  1. Chef John habanero have no flavour. Jerk requires SCOTS BONNET, THYME, ALLSPICE- everything else is superfluous. BTW PORK is the ORIGINAL jerk. Maroons on the move in the mountains would season and preserve wild pig meat over low smoke fires using pimento (allspice) wood branches.

  2. Lol. Habañero is pathetically weak when it comes to spicy. If you want the good stuff, I use a salsa I purchased made with (and including the seeds of) ghost peppers, Trinidad Scorpion peppers, and Moruga peppers. 😀

  3. Habanero peppers and Scotch bonnets peppers aren't basically the same thing. It Is a decent substitute because it is equally as hot but it is like comparing a Thai chilli/Bird's eye chilli to a Serrano pepper to different flavors.
