Hi Guys, today I’ll make you crispy breaded chicken cutlets. We’ll need 2 tbsps of all purpose flour, bread crumbs, 1 egg, fresh ground black pepper, 2 garlic cloves, salt and oil. You can use vegetable oil or olive oil. And of course the chicken. I’m using 2 big boneless skinless chicken breasts. I will show you how to butterfly them so they will be thin and crispy.
Make sure you have all the ingredients ready before handling the chicken. It’ll make the process cleaner and faster. Crack the one egg into a bowl. Grate the two garlic cloves into the same bowl. Add ¼ tsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper. Pour in 2 tbsps of water and beat it up well.
Since the breadcrumbs are plain, I’m adding ¼ tsp salt, ¼ tsp pepper, dried oregano, just crush it in the palm of your hand, dried thyme leaves, crushing it brings out all the flavor and wonderful smell. Mix everything together. You’ve made your own seasoned breadcrumbs.
Sprinkle a little salt and pepper over the flour. Mix that up.
Take a sharp knife and cut across the chicken in the middle. Cut and open like a book. Now you have one big flat piece of chicken. If you want a big serving, you could keep it this size but I want 2 servings out of this piece so i’ll cut it in half. Do the same with the other breast.
Heat up a pan with some oil. I’m using olive oil. Now take the chicken and dip it in the flour lightly, dip it in the egg letting the excess drip off. Put it in the breadcrumbs and completely cover with the crumbs. You want a nice crispy coating. It’s neater if you use one hand for the flour and egg and the other for the breadcrumbs. The oil is hot. Lay the chicken gently in the oil. These will cook in just a few minutes because they are thin. When they are golden brown on one side, turn them over and cook until golden brown on the other side. And they’re done. Pick them up with your clean tongs.
Here are our beautiful chicken breasts. They are golden brown all around. Since we didn’t overcook them, the inside is juicy and moist. These breasts cook in just a few minutes so this is a great weeknight meal.

Huzzah and Thank you Thank you.
do you use medium heat? I HATE when the oil smokes up my house. I think I had it too high.
I made this and it was amazing 👌Thank you so much for sharing ❤
I’m marinating mine before I fry them in milk and citric vinegar. I didn’t have any buttermilk.
It’s interesting how you diced garlic into the eggs. I will bread them like that, looks good! Thank you.
So when you say “heat the pan” I’m just supposed to know to what degree :/ I’m just supposed read your mind through my phone huh? How hard is it for cooking tutorials to say “Hey, idiot that doesn’t know how to cook, preheat your pan to medium/high or high.” No tutorial will tell the heat; it’s a guessing game everytime. Other than that, you’re vid was great, thank you.
It turn out great thank you so much !
