I'm a bit late but what a great video. Nice guide for the common man. I order one very recently. I'm no bbq veteran so this will help me not set the world on fire or give volunteers food poisoning!
I purchased the Nina wood fire Pro XL Outdoor Grill and Smoker. Would your tips be the same? This is the first smoker I have ever purchased.
Why do you always use aftermarket thermometers instead of the ones it came with? Do you thing they aren't as accurate?
Cj I just bought the oven and I want to air dry in it. Can you recommend an air frying basket?
The pellets do not burn 🤦♀️
Wish I checked this video before making my first smoked ribs on a new Ninja smoker.
Wasnt too bad, but could be better 🙂
Thanks for your efforts!
Apparently you are using the original Ninja woodfire grill and not the XL Pro Connect. The XL version will not allow you to cook with the lid open as every time you raise the lid the cooking stops as well as the counter. I have contacted tech support and to be honest they act like they dont really know but they also say it will not work.
Had my grill about a week but everytime i used the smoke feature i get loads of white smoke and the food tastes of nasty toxic smoke ,not pleasantly smoked can anyone help please ?
Hello again, I wanted to ask please from your experience, is there a significant difference between the taste of the meat in a gas grill and a smoked ninja grill?
Thank you very much for the review, I have a question please what is the fundamental difference in the taste of the meat between the Ninja og701 woodfire model and the Ninja grill model Ninja IG601 Foodi XL?
Just bought one of these. Thanks for tips to get me started. Can’t wait to see if it will do a black n blue steak, the way I like it and the test it needs to pass
How do I do aircrisp fries and grill a burger at same time?
Anyone tried coffee beans in the burner
How do you grill with open lid, mine shuts off when I open the lid?
Hey CJ! Just got the Ninja Woodfire ProConnect XL and your advice has been exceptional! Just like any other grill there is a learning curve. I'm in VA and your advice about region temp is on point. Not to mention, you're my kind of dude when it comes to grilling! God bless and thank you for all the videos/advice. Got me a Thermapro temp spike the other day and it's on point (no pun intended). Thanks bro!
About charcoal pellets, I always add them. I ue Smoke Daddy charcoal pellets, but each to their own. In my experience I have learned to moderate the amount of charcoal pellets to about 1/8 of the pellet mix. As a side note, I stop adding pellets about 2/3 way through the cook. Imho you've got the right amount of smoke by then due to the small space as you pointed out. Great content man.
Compared to the Weber Lumin grills, which do you think is better for cooking steaks and hamburgers?
This is amazing information. Thanks brother!
Thanks for the video bro 👍 I have many wood chips from weber and wanted to know if I can use them instead of pellets? 🤔 Did anybody try that? They are much cheaper also. Wood chips soaked and not soaked for example?
I returned a Traeger a couple of years ago. I didn't want everything smoked and frankly, I don't like things that will be expensive to repair. I recently, like today, received my Ninja Wood fired grill from Costco, $229.99 delivered. Oh yeah! Tomorrow I will plug it in to my little Honda generator just to see if this multi tool will run on that power source when our power goes out here in the boonies. Thank you for the info!
Can you use wood chips
What about searing steaks?
For the air fryer are you able to use any oil on your food ? My indoor air fryer makes so much SMOKE detector goes off
Does it smoke really bad or can you use one in a wood summerhouse / shed / man cave 🤔
You got big
Trying your smokes chicken recipe this weekend! Will be my first time using it, cant wait !
Do you double the time for two four pound pork loins?
Good video. Thx's for making that video. Really helpful.
