  1. Walk away, run if you can.
I bought one they had to deliver 3 to get one without significant QC issues.

Have had the grill for 4 years and it is rotting out. The Weber it replaced I had for 26 years.

Saber is owned by charbroil. I wouldn't give Putin a charbroil grill, even he doesn't deserve that.

    My advice, look elsewhere.

  2. I've had this $1500+ grill for about 4+ years now and I am very disappointed in almost every aspect of this product.
From day one the grill goes out just minutes after lighting. Once lit and cooking, it keeps going but about 40% of the time I light it to preheat, it goes out.. dangerously spewing gas.
I have contacted the company and they sent some replacement parts and recommended a local grill service company that set an appointment but never showed up.. never called back or responded to my calls.
The parts are still in a box after over a year.
The company is of no further help.

The ignition system has never worked right, it has been replaced and still doesn't work.
The thermometers across the front were NEVER accurate and have quit working.
The internal parts have severely rusted and I have removed them and thrown them away.
The side burner will sometimes light but never gets hot enough to cook anything.

The company is ZERO help, the local store does not service grills they sell, and the recommended service company is non-responsive.
After a fair amount of use, the grates are needing replacement but are almost $90 each and that means about $300 to replace those on a grill that won't stay lit, has no functioning side burner and the inside is rusted out.
So, I'm going to take that $300, and invest in another brand that is of better quality.

  3. I'm thinking about purchasing this grill but wanted to ask how much smoke it created. Is it similar to non infrared grills? I'm just concerned about too much smoke even though it does lower flare-up.

  4. Yes – what about the temperature in the grill? We purchased this grill a few months ago and we are not very happy.
The temperature is not the same through out the grill. It is a lot higher at the top of the pit which makes everything
cook a lot faster. How would you regulate that. You show a Roasting Rack which you can roast ribs, roasts, and poultry.
But I think you can't get the pit low enough to cook this type of meat.

  5. Looking at these now… and it was great to be able to see one in action. I like the "no flare ups" and the way it vaporizes the drippings into smoke. Very much leaning in the Saber direction.

    Thanks for the video!
