My only knowledge of Berni inn comes from a comment from a sentient computer about hoe glad he is that hes several lightyears away from the nearest one.
At this point, I just like scroll to your next short, press like, and then watch it in that order, repeat 90 times. Because I know it’s gonna be a W. Every comment is about the tune on this one even though I’m sure it’s been played on Come Dine With Me hundreds of times, but I just came to say that every video you make is an absolute W, bignibbles. I haven’t even watched the video yet. Ta ra.
Beefeater do not bad all u can eat breakfast for 10 quid. Fresh tomatoes 🍅, not tinned. I remember Bernie inn. All the rage way back when. Food..when food tasted like food. Food has NO taste today. Oh well keep on cooking. You're far more interesting than Jamie Oliver!!!!
Berni Inn restaurants weren't terrible, but the ones located in hotels followed a carvery-like structure and the food was absolutely atrocious – Yorkshire puddings were always cold and the beef was tough on a good day and rock solid on a bad day.
Loved the Bernie Inns growing up. At the time a lot of restaurants and pubs just followed their menu and dining formula, it was brilliant. I would always have orange juice as a starter… yes orange juice was a starter in the 80s!
Not too sure about the prawn salad, but definitely would give it a try – the rest looks straight out of a late 70s–early 80s mid grade steakhouse and as a middle class GenXer, I'm here for it, if for nothing but the nostalgia alone. 😉
Dishes from a defunct restaurant chain from a now defunct nation formerly known as U-kay. I was taken as a child to Berni inns and still like prawn cocktail. I have never eaten a Black forest gateau though in Germany so I suspect that it was a British invention.
This cake looks so simple-yet-delicious! Kind of nostalgic… reminds me of what my grandmother made for some of my birthdays
The baby in every lemon 😂

Should go to Onslow Court in London – a restaurant that famously hasn't changed its menu since the 1970s and is hugely popular.
As an American, that definitely looks like some old-fashioned spread your grandma would like lol.
