So excited to share my Green Mountain Grills Prime Daniel Boone Pellet Grill Review for 2020! As you know, I’ve been using this same model of smoker for years, and I finally updated to the new Prime Wifi model this fall. The Daniel Boone Green Mountain Grill is, in my opinion, the best pellet grill for 2020, complete with 458 square inches of grilling area, an 18-pound hopper and temperature range of 150-550 F. New in this Daniel Boone Prime model is two meat probes, WiFi Smart Control (a breeze to use through their mobile app), a bottle opener, oversized all-terrain wheels, and front & bottom shelves.

I have had more circuit boards in my Daniel Boone than I can count would have been ahead to buy another grill @200.00 a board
This maybe a silly question, but i inherited this grill with no user manual. What is the green on and iff button fir under the probe hook ups?
Have they changed the fan on the new model so it’s not so loud?
This grill has out preformed my expectations. I've only had it about a month https://www.youtube.com/post/Ugkx3c8DmtYRYEKYTiR4g7y6Yc2amUPVs_3X and have used it many times since from hamburgers and hotdogs to smoked ribs and Boston butt. I would definitely recommend this grill for anyone it's a great starter grill if you are not familiar with pellet grills. Easy assembly and temperature control is great
I bought a green mountain Danial boone top of the line grill just like yours except mine has more stainless steel and it is my third pellet smoker and I have 30 years experience with smokers so first off the window is worthless unless you plan on spending 45 minutes after every smoke to clean it with baking soda second and after 3 months of use the lid became warped from heat and let’s out to much smoke I also had to replace the cord as it went bad, the antenna won’t stay on and it won’t keep wi Fi 10 feet from high speed internet it is inconsistent on cooking heat and will ruin a brisket unless you plan on standing there the last 6 hours and a full cut USDA prime here where I live runs around 85 bucks
and up so I am able to cook about every 3 perfect
So I now only use this Danial Boone as a grill don’t buy it stay away there are other smokers way better for the money
Oh and I have had mine for 3 years and it grills good but that’s all it’s good for not smoking low and slow
does the pizza oven make a difference over just using a pizza stone on the grill?
Green mountain grills are garbage. Paint peels easy since they paint over rusted metal, the head shied shifts because they haven’t figured out how to make it heat evenly, and they call it a “feature”instead.
I owned one for a month and got rid of it. Incredibly bad heat spikes. Once you own it, you can’t return it for any reason.
Do you think the GMG is better than the Traeger? Or vice versa?
Looking to buy my first grill and this had been recommended.
Thanks for the great video and bringing confidence to my purchase I plan on making
Ive owened this model for 2 years. Great purchase, good quality. I would recommend and would buy again. ONLY 3 negatives: 1) window is 100% pointless since it turns black in a couple hours. 2) The vacuum suction tube becomes useless, you need to vacuum from the top of the chamber to actually clean it out. 3) paint is really starting to peel on the top half, still thick metal behind though. Recommend storing in garage, keeping the cover on outside wont cut it after a couple yrs.
I bought a Daniel Boone, nothing but trouble from the get go. No Smoke Stops midway thru cooking and temps don't stay steady or slowly
decrease to nothing. I have cleaned, polished and even talked softly to it to no avail. Frankly with the amount invested you shouldn't have to
deal with all the misgivings. I would rate it at junk. Total waste of time/money. Mine will end up on the curb no doubt.
Hello, very good review. Thank you for sharing that with us. I wanted to ask you, it has been now year since you get this grill, after year of use how is it going?
I bought one of these about a year ago, great grill but man you have to keep an eye on your temperature, the grill doesn't always shut of when it has reached your desired temp that you wanna work in.
Nice review. I have a GMG Daniel Boone and it has never worked properly. Ignitor issues, never kept a solid temp and now doesn't work at all. I would say buy anything but this brand at this point. Customer service is okay and thank goodness bc you will be using it.
You sound like a salesman. This is not a review, it's more of a features video.
Well done video, thanks! I’m excited to try mine out for the first time!
I've had my green mountain grill for 8 mos…yes…8 months..didn't make it a year..spend all that money and and its Easter Sunday..im responsible for cooking the Easter supper for the fam daily!!..and boy have preached the gmg…until the day when the whole family dam is here and im supposed to cookout for all!!!..AND IT WILL NOT FIRE…8 mos old and took care of it..its very embarrassing to preach something over 8 mos but when they are all here…I have to pull out my old weber charcoal..it doesn't fail..its either that..or we don't eat..either way..I LOOK LIKE A COMPLETE IDIOT.
Great video👍 Im sold on that smoker
Hello, is the pizza oven a separate item? If so where can I get that?
change your name to hank
what is the best way to keep that glass transparent?
