In this video, I will show you how to make the best prime rib you have ever had! I cooked this up on my Lone Star Grillz El Patron Grill & Smoker You’ll want to start by marinating your Prime Rib Roast in at least 2 quarts of buttermilk overnight before cooking. This (along with the herb blend) will create a very rich flavor and help tenderize the meat. The buttermilk also binds the herb blend and makes for a fantastic crust.
Herb Blend Recipe (Double if your roast has more than 3 bones)
Process the ingredients below in a food processor or mortar and pestle.
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh rosemary
1 1/2 teaspoons fresh thyme
1 1/2 tablespoons very coarse salt
6 cloves garlic
1 tablespoon whole peppercorns
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon dehydrated onion

I'm sure it was good but marketing that meat as wagyu is more than a bit cheeky. I know wagyu and that's not it.

With extra BBQ left over you could vacuum seal it and freeze it. Maybe a video on that. Cooking. Freezing. Reheating it.

I have a gravity charcoal grill. It's criminal how easy it is to use. Whatever I make people think I'm waaaay more skilled than I am. Nope the PID keeps the temp perfect and I don't do anything really 😬

Ok. I'm trying to perfect cooking the rib roast bone-in. What was your final cooking Temp? And how long did you let it stand at the end? Did you wrap it or left it open?
I’m looking to get a multifunctional cooker instead of an offset. How does the el Patron flavor compare to an offset? I know an offset is an offset but if the el Patron is close I’d be happy.
How is raw better than cooked.
