  1. I start everyday with natural plain yogurt usually Greek with almonds and blueberries added or at least some kinds of Fruit and nuts. I eat plenty of fruit and salad and eat fish and poultry meat only, definitely no red or processed meat. Nowadays I try to avoid any processed food at all although some people do class Greek yogurt as a processed food I suppose. A lot of people also don’t realise with fruits like citrus fruits and kiwis there is more nutrition in the skin and seeds than the pulp so I always eat these.

  3. ❤❤❤❤Very informative but definitely not for my body’s needs. WIENADs are never one size fits all, y’all! Way too carbs for me, I would gain so much weight. The oatmeal would have me crashing out before lunch. Not enough protein at all but good idea for sandwich though.

  4. My Dr recommended a dietitian in my local hospital and she told me because my body works differently I need to drink water and three protein drinks a day. My body will get used to it. If I get hangry eat a cheese stick or an apple… week two and I’m pissed everyday

  5. Abbey, this is far too little food. Even "loaded" oatmeal is not "satisfying" an hour later. Too little food! It's a huge lie/myth pushed at/by RDs that loaded oatmeal is "satisfying/filling/keeps you satisfied til lunch time." That was only true back in the 1950s, when people made it with a half stick of butter, a half cup of brown sugar, and swamped it with whole milk or cream. With a couple of fried eggs plus bacon, and toast with more butter. Of course that was filling!

Modern versions of loaded oatmeal "breakfast" leave people starving, and gaslit, because we're told it's "filling" and will power us til lunchtime. NOT.

My college nutrition prof (RD) told us (in 1993), that when she was growing up in the 1960s and 70s, and was in dietetics school in the 1970s/80s, the academic/research nutrition standard advice for females was to eat the nutritional equivalent of 3 meals per day, eating per meal 2 closed-faced sandwiches, plus fruit, veg, and perhaps chips and cookies or similar side item/dessert..

This didn't mean literally eating 6 sandwiches per day, but the equivalent number of servings/exchanges of 4 complex carbs plus the protein & fat filling in each. Plus fruit and veg, and perhaps something else.

So breakfast might include 2 servings of cereal and milk, plus 2 slices of toast with pb. Plus fruit and tomato juice.

Dinner might be 4 servings of CHO, plus protein, fat, and fruit and veg.

I learned from Ellyn Satter to always make/serve more food than I can eat such that there will be leftovers, "because it's the only way to ensure that you've have gotten enough to eat." That's on her website, under the "How to Eat" tab.

I think a lot of RDs showing us "How I Eat in a Day" videos could really benefit, themselves, from learning and practicing the "2 sandwiches plus fruit, veg, and something else" trick per meal x 3 meals/day. Ideally on whole grain, or unpeeled starchy vegs such as potatoes or yams. What's leftover can be eaten as a between meal or after dinner snack: 3 snacks/day.

I'd be curious if you try it to hear how this works for you. It's much more satisfying than just having 1 or 2 servings of complex carbohydrate per meal, and then being starved by lunch or dinner or bedtime.

  6. this is trash, yeah, "big sandwich" 'dove into the lays". Tell me how to stop eating before promoting non diet non restrictive BS. like do YOU even have the solution to the obesity epidemic??? or is this for delusional anorexic white girls? what are you the taylor swift of dietitians?

  7. U r eating like you have no metabolic and digestive issues like most people struggling with weight loss and high a1c. Oh wait, you dont. U can eat this way because you didnt destroy your body like most people. Not jealous. Good for u. That's great and u r beautiful. But this will not work for my patients.
