Southern Family Supper | Pork Chops & Onion Gravy
We are continuing to pray for all those who have been affected by the damages of hurricane Helene and those in the path of Milton. ๐Ÿ™ There are so many places to make donations to help, I will list some here, but even if you can’t help monetarily, please pray.

Pork Chops & Onion Gravy
Ingredients:

For the Pork Chops:
oil for cooking
6-9 boneless pork chops
1 TB salt
1 1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ground sage

For the Gravy:
Drippings left from cooking chops
1 onion, diced
1 15oz can beef broth
1/2 cup sour cream
2 tsp spicy brown mustard
1 to 2 TB all purpose flour

Directions:
Heat 2 to 3 TB oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
In a small bowl mix the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and sage to season chops.
Season pork chops on both sides.
Add to skillet and cook 3-4 minutes per side, turning down heat when needed, until pork chops are cooked through.

Set pork chops aside and start the gravy.

In the same skillet add the onion and cook 2 minutes.
In a bowl mix the sour cream, mustard, and flour.
Add the beef broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer.
When it begins to simmer add the sour cream mixture.
Let simmer 2-4 minutes and then turn down to low heat.
Serve gravy over pork chops!
